We can't use the official YouTube music icon on storefronts like flathub.

It's a trademark violation.
As for having an option to change it, that's fine.

But the default (on flathub) must not break the trademark.

Here are a few other ideas:

The first one should feel nearly the same, but with a tiny bit of rounding and changing the proportions that makes it technically distinct. (this is an SVG, so it should be easily editable)

It doesn't have to be a big difference, just a little thickening of the line.
I see now that the one used for this app is technically a clone, but a really close one.
I personally replaced the icon with the 144x144 png, and the white circle already looks a lot less jank on my task bar.
I am currently on windows, but plan on using this on my linux laptop if i enjoy it enough.
