YouTube Music (Application) Version

3.11.0.0

Checklists

What operating system are you using?

Windows

Operating System Version

Windows 11 Pro version 24H2

What CPU architecture are you using?

x64

Last Known Working YouTube Music (Application) version

No response

Reproduction steps

  1. Install YouTube Music (latest version, 3.11.0.0).
  2. Enable plugins, Precise Volume and Disable Autoplay, set to "Applies only on startup".
  3. Close and relaunch the app.
  4. Observe behavior on startup (without manually toggling plugins).

Expected Behavior

All enabled plugins should be active and working immediately after launch.

  • Disable Autoplay usually takes a sec before it stopped the music.
  • Precise volume also usually takes a second before lower the music volume.

Actual Behavior

  • Logs show the plugins as “loaded.”
  • Disable Autoplay is on, but music keeps playing.
  • Precise Volume does not actually take effect until I manually disable and re-enable it in the settings.
  • Other plugins: Video Toggle, Discord Rich Presence, work correctly on startup
(Although I had Rich Presence plugin off during this video)

Towards the end of the video, when I disable and re-enable "Precise Volume" plugin, it lowers the music volume to what I usually listen to.

Enabled plugins

  • Ad Blocker > In player
  • Disable Autoplay > Applies only on startup
  • In-App Menu
  • Navigation
  • Precise Volume
  • Video Toggle > Mode > Custom Toggle

Additional Information

I have uninstalled the program, with Revo Uninstaller which removed the files from Roaming and Appdata folder. Then rebooted windows.
Then I manually made sure these folders were gone:

  • C:\Users\SRoy\AppData\Local\youtube-music-updater
  • C:\Users\SRoy\AppData\Roaming\YouTube Music
  • C:\Users\SRoy\AppData\Local\Programs\youtube-music
Then I tried downloading the Portable Version of the program, which also had same issue. So, I deleted the .exe and used the web-installer to install YT Music again, and I have still the same issues.

does the issue persist after changing a song once the app has started?

Same problem with precise volume plugin, i have to toggle off and toggle on to re-enable it every time i launch the app.

Since the 3.10.0 update, the 3.9 was fine.
