Additional Information
Recently updated to 3.11 (don't remember what version from), and noticed my battery doesn't last a full day anymore but rather a few hours at best.
Checked the
Energy
tab in the Activity Monitor to find out YouTube Music had it's12 hr Power
at more than 2000. This is some arbitrary apple metric that they somehow calculate, but it isn't mAh that's for sure. The average app has that metric not even in the double digits. I understand that loading an app takes more processing power than keeping it idle, but the thing is that number is constantly high for YouTube Music.
This screenshot is after I had the app open for 5 minutes. My battery was at 71% before and has since dropped by 3% to 68%. With the app turned off, my battery has only dropped 1% in ~8 minutes

I have a macbook air and I get a similar behaviour. It doesn't show a 12h usage metric as exagerated as OP's, but I get about 4x the amount of an idle firefox or mail window, which is certainly big.
