Preflight Checklist

I use the latest version of YouTube Music (Application).
I have searched the issue tracker for a bug report that matches the one I want to file, without success.
I understand that th-ch/youtube-music has NO affiliation with Google or YouTube

I use the portable version of the YouTube Music Application.
I can reproduce this issue in the official version of (WEB) YTM.

What operating system are you using?

Other Linux

Operating System Version

EndeavourOS (Arch)

What CPU architecture are you using?

x64

Last Known Working YouTube Music (Application) version

No response

Reproduction steps

Enter settings > playback > toggle the audio quality to "Higher", then exit from settings or just go to other tab in the settings and come back to audio quality again and now the audio quality will be reset to "Normal" again.

Expected Behavior

expected behavior is to stay in the chosen audio quality.

Actual Behavior

always reset to "Normal".

Did you try the solutions redditors suggested: https://www.reddit.com/r/YoutubeMusic/comments/194bfqh/audio_quality_stuck_on_normal/

first switch to low quality, after that choos high
toggle the "dynamic queue" option to save settings
restart app after change
combination of the above

Even if not directly related to your situation, the problem is the same. So it's woth a try i would suggest.
